Administrators have the ability to create Topics (posts) from the admin panel of the website. WordPress natively has a preview feature built into this editor.
Step 1: Click ‘+ New‘ at the top of your screen and select ‘Topic‘
Step 2: Select which Forum you would like the Topic to appear in by using the ‘Forum‘ dropdown menu at the top right of the screen.
Step 3: Select ‘Normal‘ or ‘Sticky‘ from the ‘Type‘ dropdown menu at the top right of the screen.
(NOTE: Never choose Super Sticky, that’s a special function that only Das should use. It causes the post to appear at the top of EVERY FORUM, not just the one you’re intending it to be in.
Step 4: Select ‘Open‘ or ‘Closed‘ from the ‘Status‘ dropdown menu on the top right of the screen. Closed means no one can comment on the topic.
Step 5: Type in the Title and type in your topic Content using the standard fields/controls
Step 6: Click the ‘Preview‘ button on the right hand side of your screen.
Step 7: Preview your new topic in the new tab that is opened.
Step 8: If you are satisfied with your topic, switch back to the Create New Topic tab and click the ‘Publish‘ button on the right hand side of your screen.
Alternatively, if you are unsatisfied, simply switch back to the Create New Topic tab and edit your content and then click ‘Preview‘ again. The preview tab will refresh showing the updated preview.
